Xplore Our Planet, a hub of wildlife articles and news, has launched their wild guides feature.

Established as a resource portal for wildlife enthusiasts, Xplore Our Planet is dedicated to providing insightful content that educates, inspires and excites.

Founded in 2020 as a travel website, the team at Xplore Our Planet are aware of how COVID-19 is impacting current interest in the industry. However, as lockdown measures begin to loosen around the world, and travel becomes a more reasonable possibility in the near future, Xplore Our Planet has launched their wild travel guides segment to aid in wildlife travel excursions ranging into 2021 and beyond.

Xplore Our Planet wild travel guides offer detailed advice and support for trips designed around a very specific animal encounter. They’ll aid travellers in finding locations and tour operators, as well as offering tips on ethical animal interactions and how to get the most out of your wild travel experience. As of June 2020, eight wild travel guides currently exist on the Xplore Our Planet website. These cover topics including how to see wild tigers, where to encounter killer whales, the best places to dive with manta ray, and a guide to whale watching in California’s Monterey Bay.

James Speyer, representative of Xplore Our Planet, stated: “We’re hoping that even during the COVID-19 crisis, people can use our guides to plan for the future. For many, this outbreak has been an opportunity to consider personal goals and assess what they’d like to do in the future. For wildlife enthusiasts, this may mean waiting until it’s safe to travel, and then getting out to tick off bucket list activities like swimming with sharks. Our wild travel guides can provide all the details needed to make those dreams a reality.”

More wild guides are planned for upcoming months, with the feature looking to be extended to cover a great wealth of wildlife encounters around the globe. As more guides are developed and posted, the Xplore Our Planet team will continue to update the blog and news feeds of the websites with more content aimed at supporting these wild guides.
