Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), also known as acute lymphoblastic leukemia, is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. It starts from young white blood cells called lymphocytes in the bone marrow; mainly characterized by an overproduction of immature white blood cells, called lymphoblasts or leukemic blasts. ALL are caused by a lack of normal circulating blood cells.
